Chief Engineer
147' Private (with some charter) Motor Yacht seeks an immediate Chief Engineer with a minimum Y4. Our current engineer departs 3 February and we would prefer to have a good handover.
The vessel is currently in New York until the end of February when we will return to the Med.
The keel was laid in 186 and delivered in 1988. It was built by Tough Bros in London and built well. We are Lloyds 100A1 classed and have just completed our 5 year. We are Marshall Islands flagged and commercial compliant, although we are private registered most of the time. When we charter in the Med, we switch back to commercial but run mini-ISM all the time.
The major systems are all in good shape, although a little old in some cases. Main propulsion is 2x Kelvin Marine 550 hp diesels.
This position is for someone who is detailed oriented, a problem solver and is meticulous about maintenance. I am looking to find an engineer who likes to repair things properly the first and not apply "band-aide" fixes.
